Last week we were on vacation in Northern Michigan! We spent the first weekend at
Pictured Rocks along Lake Superior and then headed down to the cabin for the rest of the week, before spending our last day in Lansing at my Grandma Boehm's celebrating her 90th birthday! All in all it was a great trip!
Nick and I had never been to Pictured Rocks before and we were really excited to finally go. We stayed in a roadside motel which I thought would be a fun UP experience (and would save a lot of money!). It was clean enough and would have been just great with the 2 of us. But... Ella did not want to sleep there. It was a rough couple of nights. I was very happy to move on.
We managed to have a good time and see some BEAUTIFUL sights, worth the trip... but maybe not with a 1 year old ;)

| She was miserable... mostly because she didn't like being held for 2 hours. But as a plus, she did love watching the wake! |
Side note: even though she cried a LOT on the boat and I was worried that we were ruining every other persons quite boat ride a nice man as we were walking back up the docks said "I think she complained less than I did - she must be tough like her mom!" Even though he was probably sitting in the back and just couldn't hear her... I felt just a bit better :)
