First Snowman

Over the last two days Milwaukee has finally gotten what I would consider a respectable amount of snow - and I LOVE IT!!!

Since it was dark by the time Ella woke up from her drive home nap I decided to put some snow in a pan and bring it in for her to play with. Well, I hate to admit, but she hated it. She touched it and immediately started crying. I decided to still have some fun and build her a little snowman :)

I will hold out hope that maybe next year she will have a change of heart and we will build a real snowman together!

Bath Time Fun!

Ella is such a big girl during bath time now!  She sits up on her own and loves splashing and playing with (mostly chewing on) her little sea friends :)

8 Months Old!

Our Little Bear is 8 months old already!

Since I wrote the 7 month post so late I feel like not too much has changed between then and now!   She is on the go all the time, she always follows me around from room to room.  She is happiest when standing and loves to have ALL her toys dumped out all around her :)  She loves pulling up, walking along the furniture and bath time.  She does not like to go down for naps, which sometimes can make for a very crabby baby in the evenings - but overall she is still a very happy little girl.  She continues to be a good sleeper which we are so thankful for! According to Great Grandma Boehm's baby scale she is weighing in at 18 lbs!

This week Daddy is in Florida for work and so Ella and I are holding down the fort at home and sending lots of picture texts :)  Hopefully he brings some sunshine and warmth back to Wisconsin!

First Valentine's Day!

Ella looked so cute before heading in to work and daycare on Valentine's day that we had a little photo shoot!  We didn't do anything special other than dress up, but we did have yummy sloppy joe's for dinner :)  Aunt Barb's recipe of course!  Hope everyone had a nice day!

Funny Girl

This morning when I went in to get Ella, who had been babbling to herself for a little bit, I found her sitting in her crib with her hands through the bars pulling clothes out of the hamper. She want too happy when I went to get the camera, so I only have photos of the evidence. Silly little baby. :)

7 Months!

So this picture was taken 1 week late due to sickness, and this post is almost 1 month late... due to the fact that Ella is such a busy little girl now!

She continues to amaze us every day!  I am just trying to soak up every bit of her - she is crawling on her hands and knees now, standing on everything, playing all the time, and is only happy if she is on the go!  I love watching her but she sure does keep us busy!

At 7 months old she is mostly still wearing 6 months clothes, but I've started to put some 9 month clothes on her depending on the brand.  She wears a size 3 Costco diaper - although she will hardly stay still for a diaper change, it is a battle every time, even when I have to wake her up in the morning.

She loves her food and eats baby food 3 times a day and still takes 4 8oz bottles a day.  The Dr. said that "she would let me know" when she didn't need as many or as full bottles, but she still gobbles them all up.  She loves squash, pears, bananas, apples and peas... along with many other yummy fruits and veggies!

Although I am probably about to jinx it the last few weeks she has been back to being an amazing sleeper.  She is generally down by about 8:30 and on weekdays I wake her up at 7:10, on the weekends she has been known to let us sleep until 9!  We are very aware of how lucky we are!!!

We love our sweet little angel so very much!  She may exhaust us, but we are so thankful to have this cute little bundle in our lives!
