Some Photos and a Video

Ella's walking has really taken off in the last couple of weeks! This video is about a week old, she is much faster now! She pretty much walks everywhere and I just have to keep up. She still hasn't figured out how to stand from a sitting position so really the only time she crawls anymore is to get over to something that she can pull up on

And then just a few photo from the last couple of weeks...

Happy 90th Birthday!

The final stop of our trip was to head south to Lansing for my Grandma Boehm's 90th birthday celebration!  I have an Aunt, 2 cousins and several second cousins who live in Maine who we hadn't seen in about 4 years!  They drove 18 hours from Maine all the way to Lansing in one day!  We drove 4.5 hours from Brevort to Lansing that same day... we made it there a bit earlier than they did.

Anyway, we arrived at Grandma's Saturday at about 8ish, my Mom and Dad were there, saying in their motor home, so we all stayed up late waiting for the 'Mainers' to arrive.  They got in about 9:30ish, and we left about 10 to head to our hotel for the night.  Sunday the whole family got together for a celebration of Grandma!  It was nice all be together as it had been quite awhile since we had been.  Ella met lots of my first and second cousins for the first time!  The weather did not cooperate very well, but we had fun anyway :)  We left about 3 to make the drive back to Wisconsin and home.

Chatting with Great Grandma

Playing on the stairs with Grandma!

The 2 Ella's!  Big Ella LOVED to play and help with Little Ella!  Barb and Addison observe :)

And unfortunately... this is what a big chunk of our ride home looked like... lots of slow traffic!

All in all we had a great trip!  1,400 miles, 3 great lakes and 4 states!

Brevort!

Our next stop on our Northern Michigan vacation was to the Boehm cabin on Brevort Lake.  Thankfully... Ella slept amazing at the cabin... we got a full nights sleep each night, which, after the previous two nights felt great!  The weather was so so, but Ella loved playing in the sand and water!  The day we got there it was actually pretty hot so we all went out swimming, but I don't have any pictures because, well, we were swimming!  However, Ella really loved it, she is a water baby!

Getting some beauty sleep!

In the St. Ignace shops

Beautiful Lake Michigan (from the 'good side')
We spent an afternoon at the US-2 beach... Daddy dug Ella her own wading pool

Family selfie at the cabin

Another beautiful sunset at the cabin!
New wood stove at the cabin.. which we used almost every night :)

Little walker!

Playing on the braided rug

A rainy day at Brevort sent us to the Soo Locks!

The closest freighter was 6 hours out... so this was the best show we got!
Rain, rain go away!

The rain cleared off to a beautiful sunset reflected in Window Peepers Paradise
Next up... Great Grandma's 90th birthday!
