Laundry Chute
So we have a laundry chute, which I love, but it is on the wall in our bathroom which has Ella's crib on the other side. So we have been leaving our clothes on the floor at night and then putting them down the chute after she wakes up in the morning. One day without prompting (proving that she learns from me even when I don't realize...) she started bringing clothes around the corner to put down the chute... it is the cutest thing!

33 Day Whirlwind
So the past 33 days (exactly) have been such a crazy whirlwind of happenings! Let me recap:
On August 19th, the day after we returned from our last summer vacation I received a call from the Department of Homeland Security. They needed to come talk to us about our landlord. After a quick Google search I learned he was currently in prison for child pornography. The next day they showed up with a search warrant and took almost 300 pictures of our house. That was a Tuesday.
That Friday morning, Nick got a call that his boss was no longer with the company, this lead to 2 weeks of prep and interviews and stress for Nick. But his hard work and dedication to Kohl's for the last 8 years paid off and he was promoted on September 9th! This should keep us in the Milwaukee area for awhile - although it is not Michigan, I am looking forward to being more "settled".
The day we found out about his promotion we looked into getting pre-approved for a mortgage, despite still owning our condo in Michigan. We were approved! We went on 2 house hunts and were very discouraged with what we were seeing, nothing had quite what we wanted in a long-term home. After renting so long, we knew what we wanted!
We then decided to meet with a builder to see if new construction was even a possibility, and to our surprise they had a home that was going to be ready at the end of October that was exactly what we wanted! The Monday after we met with the builder (September 16th), we had our doctor's appointment to find out we were expecting a little baby boy! Over the course of that week we negotiated our offer and on Friday, September 20th we officially came to an agreement on our new home! We should be able to move in by the end of October!
So that is what is new with us. I think that probably covers the top 3 most stressful life events in 33 days... new job, new house, new baby ;)
And just for some pics of Ella:

Happenings and Photos
I haven't blogged much lately.. so this will be a random assortment of pictures plus a couple of videos :) Lately whenever I get out my camera or say "Ella, can I take your picture?" she runs away and says "No!" so... I get a lot of blurry shots!
Grandma and Grandpa Boehm were here for a long weekend and had a lot of fun with Ella... but somehow I didn't take any pictures?? My Mom sent me this of Ella waving goodbye as they pulled out. She really wasn't that happy they were leaving though!
Watching birds... or chipmunks... or bunnies :)
Patiently waiting for her dinner!
Prepping for Halloween, as you can see by her hand, this did not last long!
If you hadn't heard... Ella will be a big sister come February 1st (ish)! This was 18 weeks :)
On Labor Day we took Ella to the zoo.. I didn't take hardly any pictures, but this was the first time that Ella was really noticing the animals (although you can't tell in this picture) so it was a lot of fun! Plus, it was pretty cool here that day, so that was an added bonus!
Lately Ella loves giving her stuffed animals hugs and it is adorable! She has also gotten good about finding things we tell her get :)
Last night Ella figured out how the See and Say works... although she didn't quite understand that you are supposed to wait and listen to it 'say'
