Max is 11 Months Old!

Only one month left to go until we have a 1 year old around here!  That sure went by quick!  Max is a very busy little guy, he loves to crawl and walk along the furniture and always be where the action is.

Max had another Dr. appt about 10 days before his 'birthday' and he weighed in at 23 lbs, 10oz... I think though that he is finally healthy for a bit!  Of course now that I have said that I probably jinxed it.  Fingers crossed!  He is still in 12 and 18 month clothes and size 5 diapers.  He still loves to crawl and walk on furniture - on Saturday he finally figured out how to walk with his little walker!  And he has gotten quite good with that too!

His latest trick is that he can stand while leaning against things without hold on with his hand - he has also stood completely on his own for a few seconds a couple of times, so I think he will be mobile soon :)  Ella started walking at about 13 months, so we will see if he beats big sister or not! ;)

Max loves pretty much all veggies but I can't really get him to eat any fruits so we have to keep working on that, and I'm getting better about giving him more and more finger foods :)

He is still a great sleeper at night and has recently become a better napper, for about the last week I have been able to get him and Ella down for about 3 hours at the same time - it has been a life saver!!!  (Especially since I have been sick as well...)

Max is generally very happy and always wants to play with his big sister, but he will definitely let you know when he is tired and hungry, he gets cranky quick :)

He has brought a lot of joy in the last 11 months!

Merry Christmas 2014!

We had a really nice Christmas at home, Ella was very excited to see all the presents that Santa had brought and she ran to each one asking if she could open it.. or maybe not asking, but rather just trying to open it :)  We spent the rest of the day relaxing and playing with new toys and enjoying our time together.  Hope everyone else had a wonderful Christmas as well!

Meeting Santa

A couple of weeks before Christmas we took Ella to meet Santa, she was beyond excited! She talked all about going to Santa's house and how she was going to give him a big hug and kiss! We got there about a half hour before hew was actually supposed to get there and as we were waiting in line he walked past everyone and I wish we had a picture of her reaction. She could hardly contain her excitement, she covered her mouth in disbelief and kept squeeling "Santa!" - it was adorable :) When it was our turn she even walked up to his sleigh but then when I picked her up to put her on his lap things took a turn...

 

 

Thankfully she does still talk about the candy cane so I guess she wasn't that traumatized! Max was pretty indifferent about the whole thing :)

Thanksgiving Recap

I didn't intend to get so far behind with blogging but I guess I did. I was hoping to catch up before Christmas but no such luck!

 

Anyway, my parents came in for Thanksgiving and we had a nice weekend together - The turkey turned out great and I even carved it!

10 Months Old!

Well... things have been busy around here!  Max turned 10 months old on Thanksgiving day and I took his picture right on time but the blogging part doesn't happen as easily!
 

Max had Grandpa making silly faces during the photo shoot to try and get some good smiles :)  He had to go the the Dr. just a few days after his birthday for a follow-up to his last cold so I do have his current weight which is 24 lb 5.5 oz!  Max is into everything and anything and gets around pretty quickly!  He is always pulling up and standing and walking along furniture.  He is wearing size 12 and 18 month clothes and size 5 diapers.

He is a happy little guy but has had quite a few little colds lately which have kept us busy at the doctors office.  He is a good sleeper at night, generally sleeping about 12 hours, however he is not such a good napper.  I can generally get him down for about 1, 1 hour nap a day.

He loves to try and play with his big sister and she generally loves to give him hugs and kisses... despite not always wanting to share with him.
