Max is 3 Months Old!

Max continues to be a happy, content little guy!  At 3 months old he is really smiley - especially when big sister is around!  He still does not care for tummy time too much, but sits in the bumbo pretty well (when Ella is not hogging it) so I figure that works as well.

Max is pretty go with the flow, he does well in the car and when we go to play group or the park. Thankfully he still takes good naps even with lots of noise all around him. I don't have a current weight or height as he does not go back to the Dr. until May but he is a pretty big little boy. I'm pretty sure he is bigger than Ella was at 3 months. He wears all size 3 months clothes, although some are starting to get a little tight.  Still in a size 1-2 Costco diaper.  He takes 4 8oz. bottles per day, so about every 5 hours or so.

The best news is that we are very thankful to have another good sleeper. The day Max turned 2 months was the first time he slept through the night. Since then he has only had a couple nights that he didn't and they were all in that first week. He now wakes up around 7-8 each morning - but today he slept until 9:30!!! What a good little boy!

Happy Easter!

We had a really great day!

 

Ella discovered her Easter baskets this morning and loved checking out all her fun toys and treats, books, stuffed animals, bubbles, animal crackers, chalk, and other fun goodies! Grandma and Grandpa Hund sent baskets for her and Max so she had fun pulling his apart as well :)

After putting together out picnic lunch we headed off to the zoo. Since we are away from family we have discovered that the zoo and museums are nearly empty on Easter but still open, so it has become our Easter tradition. Today the forecast was calling for 72 degrees so we were excited! It actually ended up being close to 80! We had such a great day. Ella loved walking through the whole zoo and seeing all the animals, it was so nice out and not crowded at all. We had a great picnic lunch and had ice cream cones :)

After we got home and Ella took her nap we played outside with bubbles and chalk. Lots of fresh air and running around for this family! Couldn't ask for anything better :)

2 Month Checkup

Yesterday we took Max in for his 2 month appointment so I wanted to update with his current stats!

 

He weighs 13lbs, 5oz (70th percentile) and is 22.75" tall (30th percentile) and he is in the 85th percentile for head circumference. So he is short but smart :)

 

He is doing great and also did pretty good with his 4 vaccinations. Ella on the other hand had a rough day as she got sick on our drive home. I'm not really sure why because as soon as I got her cleaned up she was running around and screaming as if nothing happened. I'm hoping she isn't becoming car sick and that it was just a fluke.

 

Today Ella decided that she wanted to give Max hugs and kisses all on her own :) I did have to break it up though because I think she was about to smother him. She is also a curly sue after a bath, but unfortunately her hair still dries straight.

 

 

In other good news we made the down payment on our new patio and sod this weekend! Now we just need the weather to cooperate so we can enjoy some outdoor living! Yay!
