This morning I asked this pretty little girl what she remembered about our trip to the cabin, she said "Papa, Grandma, playing sand, shovels, water, outside" which is a pretty great summary. So even though our trip was about 6 weeks ago now I'm finally going to re-cap it for the sake of blogging :) She also said "jess" (yes) when asked if she liked the cabin and if she wanted to go back... smart cookie. Too bad I told her she has to wait a whole year...
This was the first time we had turned Ella's car seat to be forward facing, we took Max to the Dr. 3 days before we left and were able to weigh Ella and she was 1 lb over the weight threshold of being able to forward face. We were hoping it would help with the occasional carsickness she has had and it did seem to help - she was also 100 times more talkative! ha!

We drove down to Lewiston for a day to visit Grandma and Grandpa Hund as well as Aunt Kristin and Caleb. We had a nice visit and a very stressful dinner out, but it was great to see them as well!
I actually won tickets on Facebook from Arnold Line to visit Mackinac Island so we did that for one day - no bikes this time, just walked around and had a picnic lunch.

If you have no connection to the cabin then these pictures are meaningless, but if you do, then you realize that they are epic. After 55 years these pictures document the first drink of fresh water straight from the tap of the cabin!

All in all we had a great week at the cabin, the weather was like never before - beach and swimsuit weather every single day... I'm not sure it ever rained??? Maybe a light rain one morning? It was gorgeous! So great even a 2 year old remembers it :)
