My goodness I am behind... only 2 weeks away from when I am supposed to write the 9 month post! We were at my parents for Max's 8 month birthday and then when we got back he had a cold and then Ella did and things were a little hectic for a bit. This picture was taken late too... but not as late as this post :)
At 8 months Max is 24 lbs and is wearing size 12 month clothes, he wears a size 4 diaper but we are about to switch him up to size 5. Max LOVES the bath - he loves splashing and kicking - soaking the entire bathroom and Mommy :) In the last couple weeks (so probably should save for the 9 month post ;) ) Max has mastered pulling up and standing and is now into everything! He is a fast crawler and has even climbed onto the first step (eek!). Noticeable in these pics is a big bruise from where he fell and hit his head pretty good on the bookshelf. Such is the life of an active baby!
7 to 8 was a rough month for Max - he had several colds, a trip to urgent care because of a high fever due to an ear infection, and cut 6 teeth all at once... he now has 8 teeth!!! It was a rough month for Mommy and Daddy too because he completely forgot how to sleep with all those different things going on! We were up typically 2-3 times per night and often times more. Thankfully he is healthy again and we seemed to have turned a corner with sleeping... a week of sleeping through the night has felt pretty great. He is still not a great napper, but we are trying to work on that as well.
Lately these two love to 'talk' which mostly involves screaming and giggling at the top of their lungs back and forth, it is cute for about 5 seconds. Ella has gotten a lot better about sharing with Max too which has reduced the amount of times I hear "no mies!" so that is a good thing :) She likes to find things to give to Max... unless he is after something she is playing with. But for the most part they are still besties.
