Yesterday our little bear turned 9 months old! It is hard to believe that next month she will be in double digits! We took the pictures a day early so she was wearing her green for St. Patrick's Day.
The last couple of weeks have been plagued with colds for Daddy and Ella. The Dr. told us that with babies it is more important to keep an eye on their disposition and as long as she is acting herself than not to worry. So despite a runny nose and cough I am not worrying too much because this girl is always happy and active!
She continues to keep us on our toes as she is an expert at speed crawling and finding trouble. She is also fearless, she will do anything. She climbs all over and loves being standing and on the go! I still think she will walk early as she is all over the furniture but she has yet to really stand on her own. Time will tell!
She is pretty much totally in 9 month clothes now but a few 6 month things still fit. She wears a size 3 diaper. We go to the doctor next week and will have her official weigh in then. She is a good eater and will pretty much eat anything we give her. She gets 4 bottles a day and baby food 3 times a day although we are starting to adjust that schedule as she is not really wanting the bottles as much anymore.
I was really scared to give her finger foods because I was so worried about her choking, but with some encouragement from Miss Anna and some of my co-workers I realized I needed to do it. She has had Cheerios, puffs, melts, peas, avacodo and waffles (sans syrup) and devoured them all!
She is a GREAT sleeper, I think she loves sleep like her Mommy and Daddy. This weekend she slept 13 hours straight... which worried me so much - I checked on her several times in the morning! I still have to wake her up each morning for daycare, but once she is up she is all smiles.
She says a few "words" including Ma-Ma, Da-Da, Uh-Oh, and Na-Na (which I think is for Anna). And she loves Lucky and Zoe - they don't always appreciate her 'petting' (aka - hitting) but Lucky has learned to tolerate her because she also loves to feed Lucky as she is eating - and not as in letting Cheerios fall on the floor, but as in literally holding her hand full of food out for Lucky. This is strongly discouraged.
We love this little bear so much!
Grandma loves her so much too -- and her Mommy & Daddy!!
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny that she feeds Lucky! She's a cutie!
