First we had a breakfast of red watermelon, white milk (not pictured) and blue-berries :)
In the morning we went to the local parade for a little bit. Ella did a great job keeping her sunglasses on and waving her little flag!
After the parade Ella and I dropped daddy off at work for a few hours. We then walked around the outdoor mall for a little while. We came home and played in the yard.
Ella attempted to chase Lucky around the yard as much as I would let her
Lucky and Zoe enjoyed the sunshine too!
We picked Nick up at about 5 and grilled out some burgers and had some yummy potato wedges (JoJo's for those of you familiar with Washington lingo ;) ). After we cleaned up we let Ella stay up way past her bedtime for her first look at fireworks!

Waiting for dusk. Too much to look at to focus for pictures! |
Despite the park being PACKED we actually got a really good spot for viewing. We were almost TOO close if that is possible! There were times where it was so bright I wish I would have had my shades on! Overall she did really really well. She was not scared at all, but she did get restless. I think I was a combination of no room to crawl around and being sleepy. She was mesmerized by the grand finale! :) The display was great, but nothing has yet to compare to the Mackinac Bridge 50th anniversary show!
Happy 237th birthday America! Hope everyone had a great holiday!
I forgot about JoJos!
