Max is wearing some 9 month things but a lot of 12 month things, we had some good Kohl's coupons, and I only bought him 12 month clothes. I'm having a hard time with pants, if they aren't stretchy enough they don't fit him well on his chunky little legs, but are often too long, so fall and winter are going to be interesting! He is now in a size 4 diaper.. the same as Ella. Makes diaper shopping easy, but makes me laugh, they are tighter on him than on her too :)
He still does the 4, 8 oz bottles per day and now baby food 2 times per day. For a bit there he was at 3 times a day but then he got a little cold and his "schedule" got all messed up and we are just figuring out what works still. So far he has had sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, peas and green beans and he as gobbled them all up!
On the verge of crawling!!! |
For the most part he is still sleeping all night, although we have had a few nights where he wants his paci or his back rubbed for a bit, etc. Usually just once or twice and not for very long. He has his 2 bottom teeth, but I think he may be getting one on the top as well, which could be adding to the waking at night. He is not a great napper. He often skips a morning nap and maybe takes a 45 minute to an hour nap in the afternoon, and he really, really fights going down for it. Typically this makes for a more cranky mommy than Max ;)
This was the first time Max sat up in the cart - he did pretty good for the most part, but I did have to carry him for part of the trip. Thankfully Daddy was with us! Ella typically does not want her picture taken these days (she was smiling at something different here and just a lucky shot that I caught it on camera), but later in the store when we had no camera in sight she put her arm around him, smiled big, and yelled 'cheese!' :) Also, it really wasn't that cold out, she insisted on wearing her coat :)
This month we also switched Max to have a regular seat on the stroller rather than just being in his car seat. He likes having more space, but he looks like such a big boy!! Here you can also see how I have to roll up his pants multiple times!
And we also upgraded Max's car seat just this week! He was just getting too big for the baby carrier and now that he can sit up on his own it is easier to have him out of the baby carrier. We switched Ella out of the same baby seat at 17 months!!! Nick said, 'at least he looks little again' :) We actually just got this and haven't even installed it in the car yet so the first ride will be this weekend!
Ella at 7 months can be seen here, and side by side:
Such cuties!
